Project Overview

This Redondo Beach project involved a new garage and proposed addition to an existing residence. The existing driveway apron and driveway remained in place, minimizing site disturbance and preserving the existing access.

A new rear yard deck was added as part of the project, requiring coordination between the structural design and the civil engineering for proper drainage away from the new structure.

Due to the coastal conditions and high water table in Redondo Beach, a stormwater sump pump system was required. All water from the basement level was collected into the sump pump and outletted to a catch basin on the property line. From there, water gravity flows through the curbface to the street storm drain system.
