Alomar Drive
Grading, excavation, and LID design for hillside residence.
Project Overview
This Sherman Oaks project involved slight excavation for additional structures at the rear of the lot, including a deck and rec room. The new construction tied into the existing grade while creating usable outdoor space on the hillside.
The front yard was regraded to match into both the rear yard and the front structures, ensuring proper drainage and a smooth transition between existing and proposed grades. A new driveway apron was constructed on the northwest corner of the lot to serve the proposed garage.
Low Impact Development features include an impermeable lined rain garden to manage stormwater on-site. All drainage was collected and routed to the street, meeting LA City LADBS requirements.
