Silver Lake Built

Residential on Redcliff Street

Grading plans and stormwater management for steep hillside residence.

Grading and drainage plan for Silver Lake residential project showing contour lines, retaining walls, rain barrels, swales, and proposed structures

Project Overview

New driveway entrance on steep hillside using a single retaining wall and curb daylight on the street side. The design maintained 2:1 maximum slopes on the street up to the driveway, and another 2:1 slope from the retaining wall up to the existing pool area.

The entire front yard received new 2:1 cut slope grading with a new front entrance staircase from the street level leading up to the main house entrance. The existing residence was to remain and was later remodeled.

A new driveway leads to a carport in the rear of the property with rain barrels providing low impact development for stormwater management. The entire site was collected into downspouts and area drains, all piped to the street.
